Here's the general information for the list:

This mailing list is for mature men and their admirers to be able to meet and communicate in an interactive forum. To borrow from the latest issue of Chiron Rising magazine (one of a growing number of magazines devoted to the mature man) this list is "a celebration of the mature man in all his many sizes, colors, and sexual orientations." The goal of this mailing list coincides with the goals of the magazine - "...to provide our readers with a contact network through which they may enrich their lives with new friends, lifemates and a sense of renewed dignity and belonging." So whether you are a mature man, or an admirer such as myself, welcome!

List Etiquette:

1) DO NOT SEND BINARIES TO THE LIST!

A binary is any non-text file, such as a sound, picture, or program. This really causes problems for the digest members. If you have any questions, check with me.

2) Please clear any virus warnings with the list administrator.

We have been "warned" many times about "good times" and other such non-existant viruses. Before sending a possible hoax to the list, please confirm.

3) Please avoid blatant flaming/personal attacks.

All these do is bring the whole list down. If you have a problem with what someone said, please tell them directly, in private mail.

Discussion is fine, but if things start to get way off topic or too heated, you may be asked to take it off the list.

4) What is said on the list STAYS on the list - meaning please do not forward list mail to outside parties, except in certain circumstances. (Check with me for permission.)

Publishing messages from the list in a magazine without the authors permission is expressly forbidden. You *must* have permission from all authors to publish a message from the list.

5) Yes, there have been some pretty severe flame wars on this list in the past. Please refrain from bringing them up.

6) If a person is causing problems on the list, they will be warned in private. Once they have been warned, if they cause further problems they will be removed.

7) In general, this list is a great group of men. If you conduct yourself in a polite manner, things will go well. If you're itching for a fight or something, please take it somewhere else. alt.flame for example. :-)

8) Things are pretty informal around here about what is allowed and what isn't. In general, the same rules that would apply to any other mailing list apply, i.e. do not send binaries to the list, etc. If you have questions, please ask.

If you have any questions or need help, please ask, but please remember that this list is administrated on a voulntary basis, so there may be the occasional delay in getting back to you. The list administrator has a job outside of the list, and may not be able to reply immediately to your mail.
