A Prayer for Forgiveness.

All mighty and most merciful God! For give me for I have sinned against you by saying no to your will, for me. I was afraid of pain, rejection, loss, I was full of my own self importance and lost to your true love. To the hurt of myself, others and most of all you. I used my mind when I should have used my hart. If you were the God of Justice, I would be lost for ever, but you are the God of compassion. As my Lord Jesus, you felt and knew the fear and despair I feel and know. It was only in your dieing that you managed to overcome fear and despair. Giving me the greatest example of saying "YES" that I could ever hope for (in your crucifixion). So please do not abandon me but help me to move closer to your example! Amen |
