Giuseppe Diotti was a student of the Academy of Parma, and held the possition of painting master at the Carrara Academy in Bergamo, Italy, from 1811 to 1845. Paintings by him are in the collection of The Carrara Academy and The National Gallery of Florence has a self-portrait of the artist.
