Peter Paul Muller was born in Berlin, February 1st, 1853. He was a student of the School of Modern Art in Vienna, and at the Munich Academy. His first exhibit was in Berlin in 1879. He was awarded a Gold Medal in Munich in 1888, and an honorable mention in Berlin, 1891. He received a 3rd Class Medal in the Paris Worlds Fair in 1889. Muller traveled in Algeria, Italy, and Poland. His paintings are in the collections of The State Museum of Munich, The State Museum of Danzig, The Bristol Museum, and the Vienna Museum which has a landscape titled "Automne".
