Parents: Distiller, later cafeowner Rasmus Iversen Olsted and Marie Sorensdatter. Married: April 27, 1852 in Copenhagen to Ida Henriette Schmidt, born Nov. 9, 1828 in Copenhagen, died April 11, 1916 at Frederiksberg, daughter of master painter Carl Gottlieb Schmidt and Margrethe Eiser. Education: Painter's apprentice one month 1842; accepted at the Academy Jan. 1841; was promoted to the Plaster school March 1843; to the Model school 1844; attended the latter till spring of 1849; student of J.
