"The HUB" Announces HUBRADIO
Real Opportunity For All Musicians
(Tuesday, Sept. 7., 2004 Vancouver, WA. USA) Michael "Flash" Dalton, CEO & Executive Producer for The HUB Entertainment Group, Inc. annouced today plans for the company's launch of what may well be the biggest boost to the entertainment industry in years. Flash announced company plans for the internet-radio broadcasting arena, but with several unique twists that could be the biggest thing since the introduction of FM broadcasting years ago.
According to CEO Flash, "..the markets' appetite for phenomena like American Idol, and Apple Computer's iPod Music Store, clearly indicate two things, first, that Americans want to decide for themselves what music makes it or not. People are tired of some guy in a suit 2000 miles away telling them what's good, and what they'll hear on the radio. And, secondly, people are tired of spending twenty bucks on a CD to get the one or two songs they really do like."
"And to those two facts we've added a third fact. And that is, that there are thousands if not millions of musicians both pro and amateur in this country that the big conglomerates have stiffeld far too long."
Flash continued "..what we have developed is a patentable business model that puts the choice of what suceeds squarely in the hands of the listening audience, provides for buying only what you like, and let's musicians be heard locally and nationally providing them opportunity that hasn't existed since the early days of rock 'n roll, and the introduction of FM radio."
According to Flash, HUBRADIO may have as much impact as the introduction of MTV, but with the listening audience and the musician, not big-business, reaping the rewards.
"The IGNITRONS" Release 1st CD
What do you get when you mix surf, jazz, bues, and rock music together? The IGNITRONS!
This enormously exciting band hails from Portland, Oregon, home to a plethora of original & talented acts. But the IGNITRONS break the Portland mold. Performing an exciting array of original all-instrumental tunes, their music will literally quiet a club as all ears and eyes focus on their performance.
Guitarist David Ward and drummer Steve Aubrey teamed up several years ago, and early on played with local Portland acts including Lisa Miller and The Stingers. But a few years back they formed The Vibrasonics and began to mold their own unique surf-rock-jazz fusion sound that must be heard to be explained.
The current line-up includes Ward, Aubrey and rock-steady foundation man, Haus, on electric bass. Haus, originally started out as a pianist, and his well rounded understanding of music shines though as he lays down the deeep foundation rhythm parts for this powerhouse trio.
Their new CD, actually a six track EP, will be available for sale off-stage as early as October. Their producer, "Flash" comments "..the CD captures six of their unique originals and will go a long way towards sharing their music with others". What's next? producer Flash indicated the band will re-enter the studio early next year to begin working on their next release, a full 10 track CD featuring some of the latest writing by the band.
