Basset Hound
Found in Portland
2/26/04
Hi. My name is Janus and I live in
Portland, OR. The other day I rescued a female Basset
Hound from being hit by cars as she was crossing a busy road.
Unfortunately, she didn't have a
collar and she's not tattooed or microchiped. I've placed ads
and fliers all over the place, but still no one has called to
claim her. I live with my parents, and we just had to put our
family dog down a month ago. My parents aren't looking for
another one, and I already own a dog.
As beautiful as she is, I've got
to find a place for her to go. I've left messages with 2 other
Basset rescues here in Portland, and saw on your website that
you may offer rescue services as well?
She's had puppies, but I don't
know how long ago. The vet I took her to the other day didn't
think she was still nursing. She isn't fixed, and of course
since she was out in the road, there's no papers to go with
her either.
Please, if you know of anyone who
may want to take her in temporarily, or even on a permanent
basis, feel free to give me a call. My phone # is
503-761-5964. I really don't want to take her to the
shelter.
Thank you,
Janus
