Lactarious deliciosus and Helvella lacunosa were successfully grown in our yard this year.

Only 11 months after inoculating the area with spores.

The Lactarius was in time to great the November Full Moon with a dozen large robust specimens.

While the Helvella was there to meet the Last New Moon of 2001, more than 60 feet from any tree.

Most Importantly

In 2003, We established evidence of successful Landscape Introduction of

Matsutake (Tricholoma magnivelare)

and

Porcini / King Bolete (Boletus edulis)

at an Oregon Coastal Public School sports field and a Coastal Retirement Facility

Field Research Project Sites

Wanted / Needed

We are looking for anyone with cattle, dairy or equestrian and boarding ranches to participate in the identification, inventory and photographic documentation of related fungi and mushroom species, who would be willing to permit access several times per year, over a 5 to 10 year period and host several pieces of weather recording equipment. A final assessment and inventory of resident fungi species will be shared in exchange for the access to the property and cooperation in this delicate and vital research project.

Oregon sites are preferred, but anything within the Continental US is acceptable.

A New Web Page is currently being developed and will contain regular updates on Research Projects

It is also our hope to assist in the discovery of New Compounds and Medications which might be useful in resolving the many Health Problems of our Society. The answers are out there. We offer identification services: requiring several spore prints (mushrooms set on clean white or black paper to allow spores to land on paper) along with a photograph of the subject in it's natural environment along with one next to it, on it's side to view the gills / pores / surface.

For the last 20 years we have been studying the use of Mushrooms for Landscaping and have been very impressed by the potential application and select control of specific Exquisite colors / scents / edibles that you can choose from, with an extremely high degree of success.

Brilliant reds, oranges, blues, purples, violets, pinks, whites, tans, greens and more.

Scents of almonds, cherries, mint, licorice, candy, chocolate, radishes, apricot, cucumbers, even ones that taste like they smell and better.
