Sonia Buist was born in India and educated in Scotland. Now a physician,
teacher, and researcher at the Oregon Health Sciences University, she has
lived and hiked in Oregon for 31 years.
Emily Keller spent 10 years as a country doctor, and 20 years on the
pediatric faculty at the Oregon Health Sciences University. She has sailed
the world with her husband, Paul, with whom she has published two books about
their sailing adventures.
