[Shades]
CNTYON=TRUE
MCDON=TRUE
PLCON=TRUE
AUTOQ=TRUE
STATEON=TRUE
Changing the first line to CNTYON=FALSE will change the background of
a state-
level map to all white (much easier to read, at least on MY laptop!)
Next, changing line 2 to MCDON=FALSE will give local maps with city/county
in
gray/white rather than the original darker shades.
Then, changing line 3 to PLCON=FALSE will give all black and white
maps down to
street level.
I haven't played with AUTOQ or STATEON, having achieved the desired
results with
the first three parameters already. I did find that the section
with entries such as
[Shades]
STSH=1,$08000004
STSH=2,$08000000
o
o
o
STSH=71,$00DDCECE
STSH=72,$00C9E2E2
is for the colors in the country-wide map, and the number is in inverse
proportion to
the color ($00000000 is black!) Of course, the number after STSH=
is the fips code
of the state (you can find a list here.
