Dear Friends

I am very sorry that I was so busy with planning the Wedding and all that I did not manage to get my Christmas letter Mailed until January but I do not want to lose touch with you so here goes.

Well another millennium is almost over and some how we have managed to survive a year of Y2K, global warming, "Survivor," "Who Wants to be a Millionaire," politics and Chad. Another millennium is drawing to a close and we stop to look back all the way to the birth of a small child just 2 millennia ago. As the year and millennium draws to its close I look back at the year ending and find that I want to share some of it with the people I consider my friends.

As last year was ending and we were all facing the end of the world do to Y2K.  I wrote and told you that I had met a wonderful woman named Linda and how I was in love with her.  But the fact that she lived 90 miles away was hard, and let's face it - we are two very different people.  Well, not long after the New Year Linda and I decided that things just could not work out between the two of us so we said that we broke up.  But in March we both noticed something.  That something was that we were still spending all of our free time together.  So what is the point of being broken up if you still see each other all the time?  So we decided to give it another go. Or just admit that something was going on between the two of us that neither of us had any control over.  Shortly after getting back together I decided to bring an end to the problem of distance and asked Linda to move in with me.  This she did.  It is wonderful having her here, someone to share my daily life with.  It is also hard sometimes, but the good far outweighs the bad.

After she moved in Linda got a job at South West Washington Medical Center.  This is very close to OUR house in Vancouver.  In August I asked Linda to marry me and she said YES.  We look forward to a wedding in 2001.  We had planned to get married on June 30th , 2 years from the day we met, but other commitments have made us change the day to August 4th 2001, here in Vancouver.  Invitations will be mailed out in May or June. In the meantime we are planning the wedding, honeymoon and looking forward to life together and, hopefully very soon, a family. I am planning to create a home page for wedding news but have been too busy lately to work on it.

When I do the address will be:

Other then that Mrs. Lincoln how was the play?

I am not certain I have much of a life other then what I have just said.  Linda and I have joined a gym and work out several times a week.  We swim.  It has been thrilling the last couple of weeks to go swimming when the temperature outside is below freezing. The pool is a wonderful 25-meter wave less indoor pool.

I would like to tell you about all the wonderful things I did this year, and I have, but they are all centered around Linda.

Well, in any case, I do hope that each of you are having a wonderful life and that you are healthy and happy.

So, as tiny Tim said, "GOD BLESS US EVERONE!"

Love,

Odell
