Dear Mr Archer,
I am sending you some additional info now by e-mail and under
separate cover by ordinary mail you will receive some more.
Now, I am just trying to figure out why you are trying to
ridicule and slander me and possibly causing trouble for my
research, publishing and marketing? As far as I know I do
not know you -- and if I do (my memory is good but rather
short -- probably has something to do with age) and I in
some way unknowingly have offended you I sincerely apologize.
The way you describe things you make your readers think that
I should have used the Angstrom medal without permission
which would be more or less against the law. You also give
the impression that I pretend to be something that I am not.
(Too bad that you do not know me).
You write:
"Uppsala University has never awarded the Angstrom Prize to
anyone outside the university". This is of course true but
what does it have with me or the Foundation to do? We have
many, many time underlined that we have no connections
(other than friendly) with the university.
"The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences does not allow its
medals to be used for any purpose without permission from
the Academy"
That is probably true too.
A little bit further down you write:
"..and the Academy has stated that the Angstrom Foundation
did not have permission to use the Academy's medal".
Now, this is a very important wording and a direct
accusation and I would like you to send me the name of the
person at the Academy who has made this statement as I will
let my lawyer take care of that.

It so happened that when I was going through the material
that could be of interest to send to you, a very good friend
of mine dropped by -- being a lawyer, I showed him what you
had written. He told me that this would not be allowed in
this country and that giving false information knowingly
or unknowingly that causes damage or harm to anyone is very
serious and could or possibly should be acted against. I
do not know what you law says but such seems to be the case
here. For this reason I would like to know who you have
talked to and in what capacity this individual gave you
this information.

Of course what you write under your heading Name Recognition
is all wrong which you can see from enclosed details and
from the material being sent to you by mail. It is
difficult to understand why this part even came into your
document if it was not just an attempt of you to ridicule
me -- but for what reason.

I have never ever claimed that The University of Uppsala nor
the Royal Academy of Sciences have anything to do with
Ångströmsstiftelsen (The Angstrom Foundation).

Now, the question is "Where do we go from here"?. Publishing
untrue things on Internet is indeed a serious matter for the
one that can be harmed.

I will not keep on arguing this matter with you -- depending
on what type of man you are -- I believe we can solve it in
a civilized way.

Best regards -- L-J Angstrom
