Looking for a unique way to meet people and make music?

Dig out that old ukulele from your attic or closet and join the Portland Ukulele Association (PUA)!

PUA   usually meets on the second Sunday of each month from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

All levels are welcome; join-in any month. An introductory lesson is available at each gathering except January 2012 (loaner ukuleles are available). Short open mic at the end of each gathering.

Fee payable at each meeting is $5 cash or check. Sorry, no credit cards.

This fun and interactive workshop will teach you how to have a great ukulele jam session with no sheet music, music stands and all the other distractions that take you away from playing music. Jam By Ear is a one-hour workshop and jam session in which you'll not only get to play a number of fun tunes, at the same time you'll be learning about arranging, intros and outros, stopping and starting together, changing keys, switching up the rhythm, and a few more tricks of the trade that will really jazz up all of the songs you play. Ukulele Class offered by Dave Mullany

in SE Portland- beginners and intermediate players welcome.
1st and 3rd Wednesday evenings, each month. Class is held in SE Portland near Foster and 55th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. We spend each class playing songs (popular- Beatles, Dylan, Folk, blues etc.) as well as learning new chords, strums and note fills. $30 for one class or $50 for the month.
