Not just once, but God told them twice that the
firmament was no dome in the sky.
From the previous article where God corrected Elihu about
the firmament, it was shown that God was describing a
LINE being stretched onto the foundations of the earth.
The foundations of the earth were the initial "waters"
given in Genesis.
From later review of Genesis, it's clear that the "waters"
were simply the lighter elements around after the big
bang that then formed a "pre-sun" star. The "firmament"
RING then formed from heavier elements dropping down
in the "pre-sun" star's atmosphere, the "firmament" RING
then later exploded out and the regathering matter formed
the planets, moons, comets, the eventual sun, etc...
In the Job verse set, God DRAMATICALLY stated that the
common understanding at the time was absolutely wrong.
That there was no "solid glass sky dome" being described.
Particularly, God told Job to strengthen himself since
God was going to DEMAND that Job answer him correctly
about stuff that Job could not have known or understood.
God told Job that the guy previously speaking was
absolutely WRONG in what he had said.
What Elihu had said, Job probably believed as well,
since it was the common understanding at the time. So
Job was being put in a seriously difficult position,
being asked to answer what most people believed,
but at the same time, being told that it was WRONG.
God gave a clue though, he told them that they did
not understand from the foundatations of the earth.
But God also later told them AGAIN afterwards.
Where?
In the verse preceding Isaiah 40:22 you see that
God is AGAIN confirming what was occurring at the
foundations of the earth when the "firmament" RING
was being described:
Isa 40:21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it
not been told you from the beginning? have ye
not understood from the foundations of the earth?
(See God say the same thing in Job 38, the foundations
of the earth, the "waters" of the "pre-sun" star, the
same "firmament" explosion. In Job 38, God called it
a LINE. That LINE forms a RING when formed above the
"pre-sun" star.)
22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the
earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as
grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens
as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent
to dwell in:
See the circle? It again matches the "firmament" RING
and it's being described at the foundations of the
earth when the heavens were being stretched out, the
"firmament" explosion.
God mentioning the inhabitants as much like grasshoppers
is simply saying that God is IMMENSE in spreading out
the heavens and forming the "firmament" RING that then
exploded and sent out the matter out that would form the
planets.
Particularly notice that God asked them if they
knew it, he asked if they understood it, he asked
if they knew it from the beginning, from the
foundations of the earth... Genesis.
That circle of the earth is CORRECT and shows that
God told them TWICE that it was a LINE stretched upon
the foundations of the earth, the same foundations
described in Job, the same foundations described in
Genesis.
God made it all, Jesus died for our sins.
