The following is a discussion of Isaiah 30, where God
both shows he knew the timing of present day history,
and also continues to show he knew how our solar system
formed, since he did in fact form it, and remembered
forming it over billions of years.
For this one, it would be good to read the Genesis 1
article first, then the following falls right into place.

This verse is often times made fun of by those rejecting
the bible, them saying it's showing God didn't know how
moon light occurs, or anything about the physical reality
of how the sun shines.
Going right to the verse:
Isa 30:26 Moreover the light of the moon shall be as
the light of the sun, and the light of the
sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven
days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up
the breach of his people, and healeth the
stroke of their wound.
The most common statement against this verse, is the
claim that God was saying the moon will somehow "ignite"
and then become another sun in the sky, and that the sun
will then become 7 times hotter than it is now. The one
claiming such then complains that the verse above shows
little understanding of how the sun "shines", and that
it's not possible for the moon to go into fusion to shine
like the sun.
But is that what God was saying?
No, it isn't.
When you look at the above verse in the context of
Genesis 1 and what's known present day, it quickly
becomes apparent that God was simply saying what's
already known... stuff known present day:
1. The light of the moon, is as the light of the
sun since it's just reflected sunlight. We all
know that now, it's clear that it's the same
light. We know it NOW, yet God described it
thousands of years ago, him having been there
forming it all billions of years ago.
2. The light of the sun is seven fold, as the light
of seven days, specifically: seven creation days,
as given in Genesis 1.
Why?
Genesis is the exact sequence for our solar system's
formation, and the "firmament" exploding out says
directly that the "pre-sun" star really did begin
BEFORE the sun finally regathered on the 4th "God day".
Notice, the "pre-sun" star, and the "sun", they are
the same huge pile of matter... the same matter being
used by God to both form heavier elements from lighter
elements or "waters", and then to eject them all out,
of which they then regather to form our solar system.
The lighter elements for our sun, they've continued to
be a source for the light over those 7 "God days"
described by God in Genesis 1.
The end result?
Isaiah 30:26 is exactly right, it's KNOWN to be exactly
right, and is known right now, today, our present history.
Is there any confirmation about the timing of when
it would be known?
Yes there is, see the verse just prior, a statement
by God of what else you'd see when it's known:
Isa 30:25 And there shall be upon every high
mountain, and upon every high hill,
rivers and streams of waters in the
day of the great slaughter, when the
towers fall.
Very recent history shows that the WTC towers fell,
a slaughter of both those in the towers and on the
ground, and also now back at the source of the
attack, in Afghanistan, where there are in fact,
mountains filled with water, underground caves
in the mountains with water, water being used for
irrigation, in the mountains. Present day, they are
being bombed to retrieve the ones responsible for
the attack on the WTC towers.
Notice, those verses follow one right after the
other. So God not only knew how the solar system
formed, he also knew when it would be recognized
that he knew it, and what would be occurring at
the time it's recognized.
Only God the creator could know so much about his
creation, things unseen, things only guessed about
over centuries and yet he described it thousands
of years in advance of it eventually being known.
And not only that, God knew what would be occurring
when it's known that he knew it.
God made it all, Jesus died for our sins.
