Insects Have 4 Legs?

This one is fairly simple, and going right to the
verse set in question:

Le 11:20 All fowls that creep, going upon all
four, shall be an abomination unto you.

(The Hebrew allows "flying creatures that swarm with
4 limbs", of which bats match the description. There
are currently some 900 types in the bat species, so
the text is basically saying not to eat bats...
 since they often have rabies.

The Hebrew used the same term for "insects" that it
used in Genesis 1 for "birds" {basically any type
of flying creatures} so clearly, bats are a valid
translation alternate for the verse, and the command
not to eat bats is more than reasonable.)

21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying
creeping thing that goeth upon all four,
which have legs above their feet, to
         leap withal upon the earth;

(Locust have 4 legs above the 2 large jumping legs.)

22 Even these of them ye may eat; the
locust after his kind, and the bald
locust after his kind, and the beetle
after his kind, and the grasshopper
         after his kind.
23 But all other flying creeping things,
which have four feet, shall be an
         abomination unto you.

Again with re-translation, it's a command not
to eat flying creatures with 4 limbs that swarm,
or bats, since they often have rabies.

God made it all, Jesus died for our sins.
