An article posted by CNN on Jan 30th, 2001 entitled: "Self-made cells show life could originate in space" discusses results from a biologist, David Deamer, working at the University of California Santa Cruz, and results of other researchers at NASA. They acknowledge that the organics needed to make life are in fact all over out there in deep space and that cell membranes can form in the conditions seen in space. The results about the cell membrane are just more evidence that life could have begun in space. They also state that said life would then arrive on earth through comets, the earth being seeded with life from space. The implications of this are that Genesis is confirmed to be correct in the TIMING of the events given in the account. Biologists openly admit that simple single cell photosynthetic life had to have occurred first, else almost no other life could exist. This is due to the fact that single cell photosynthetic life is needed to convert radiant energy into sugars that other life needs to survive. They've also detected sugars around planet forming stars, which is also more evidence that the TIMING in Genesis is correct. The earliest detectable photosynthetic life is very difficult to confirm due to the earth recycling the upper crust. But the evidence of photosynthetic life being available, that can give life here on earth at the most earliest of times right while the earth was forming from the regathering matter. What Genesis is saying is that single cell photosynthetic life began to show up very early as the earth finished forming. That early photosynthetic life came from space, our solar system as it was forming from the regathering matter after the explosion of the "pre-sun" star. Genesis calls that photosynthetic life the only terms they had available back then. Genesis called that life: plants, but qualifies it being different in that the "seed" of life was WITHIN itself. Genesis is saying that LIFE started then, the seed of life being WITHIN that photosynthetic single cell life. Clearly, God was right, he said exactly what occurred. God made it all, Jesus died for our sins.
