Mary Proclaimed the Son of God

In the New Testament, Joseph is told by the angel that
Mary is with child by the Holy Spirit and that it's part
of a prophecy God had set up over 750 years before that
time.

The verse set saying this is:

Mt 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold,
the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a
dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear
not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that
which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou
shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save
        his people from their sins.
22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,
        saying,
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall
bring forth a son, and they shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

The prophecy the angel is discussing is one in which God
told King Ahaz to ask for a sign, ANYTHING as a sign, it
didn't matter what it was, ANYTHING, the king wouldn't
ask, so God told him a sign... but one he wouldn't see:

Isa 7:10 Moreover the LORD spake again unto Ahaz, saying,
11 Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God; ask it
either in the depth, or in the height above.
12 But Ahaz said, I will not ask, neither will I
         tempt the LORD.
13 And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is
it a small thing for you to weary men, but will
         ye weary my God also?
14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a
sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear
a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Notice, God didn't say that King Ahaz would see it, but
instead that the House of David would be given the sign.

The angel in the New Testament account discussed just
above the Isaiah verse set, that angel said that Jesus
was the sign given to the House of David.

Quite often though, people checking to see if the prophecy
matches, they tend to question whether or not the "virgin"
mentioned in the New Testament is described as a "virgin"
in the Old Testament in the original scriptures.

The term used in the Isaiah verse set can mean a "virgin",
it can also mean a young woman. The Matthew account point
blank says that Mary is with child from the Holy Spirit,
a "virgin".

Hence, the "virgin" question is not a concern for the
verses to match. The Old Testament Hebrew scriptures allow
the "virgin" description.

But the match doesn't just end there.

There is also the rest of what the angel said, the angel
said that the name given in the Isaiah verse set, that
name is INTERPRETED to mean "God with us".

So going back to the Isaiah 7:14 verse and looking at the
original Hebrew, you'll find that the verse can be read as:

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a
sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and
bear a son, and shall PROCLAIM his RENOWN
         God with us.

And this is just what happened with Mary. Mary was told
by the angel that she would give birth to the Son of God.
She was the ONLY ONE that knew what the angel said. With
her describing what the angel told her... the prophecy
of Isaiah 7:14 was then fulfilled.

The same "virgin" or "young woman" who was with child
was also the one to PROCLAIM him as God with us. Mary
repeated what the angel told her, the angel told her
that the baby was to known as the Son of God:

Lu 1:28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail,
thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with
thee: blessed art thou among women.
29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his
saying, and cast in her mind what manner of
        salutation this should be.
30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary:
for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb,
and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name
        JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son
of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give
unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for
ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this
be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The
Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power
of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore
also that holy thing which shall be born of
thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mary in relaying the message that the angel told her,
she then in effect completed the Isaiah 7:14 prophecy.

Up until Mary repeating that the angel said the baby
would be called the Son of God, the Isaiah 7:14 prophecy
had been left unfulfilled. There is no mention of
Isaiah indicating any baby being born named Immanuel,
nor that a "young woman" or "virgin" gave birth to
complete the prophecy.

The ONLY statement given saying that the prophecy
was complete is the one in the New Testament. That
statement was given by the angel talking to Joseph,
and Mary then telling others what the angel told her:
that the Son of God was with them.

God made it all, Jesus died for our sins.
