Habitat:
The contrast to the
“engineered “ watersheds of the Pacific Coast is dramatic. Beginning with
the fur trade over 200 years ago followed by mining 100 years later and
now irrigation and hydro, man has been transforming the watersheds of the
Pacific Coast.

it should be...Braided rivers...
Not a very good picture but illustrative of rivers that have yet to be
engineered. The multiple braided channels were apparent along the their
entire length.

Wild Salmon Center. Quite a
contrast to the linear rivers of today. |
