Noah
Baderman and his twin brother
Nathan were born October 6, 2001 at OHSU Doernbecher Children's
Hospital. Noah, however, suffers from a rare heart condition
called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
Noah had his first open-heart surgery at 11 days old, his second at 5
months and this third at 3 -1/2 years old, all done by the fabulous
team at OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Noah recently has declined in health and is in advanced congestive heart failure. On May 28, 2006 Noah and his mother Melinda were transported to the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in the Stanford University Medical Center to be listed as a candidate for a heart transplant. His right ventricle is failing and there is nothing more that can be done except a heart transplant. As of June 9, 2006 Noah has been put on the UNOS organ recipient list and is classified as a 1B. The only thing higher is a 1A. Noah however is the only A positive blood type on the list, at this time in the Stanford area. |

Waiting at home in Boise, Idaho. for the news that a match has been found for Noah are Noah’s Dad Ryan; Noah's older sister, Laurin, 13; older brother Spencer, 5 -1/2; and Noah’s twin Nathan. (Noah, Nate and Spencer share the same birthday). Luckily Melinda’s parents, brother and his wife, other brother and great grandmother are there to help out as Ryan does work and is trying to keep the bills paid. |
