  In the beginning was the Sun
  Who was perfection
  She created Day,
  Who wrapped Herself with Night,
  While the Moon,
  The Sun's Reflection
  Watched it all,
  to Her Delight.
  
  We enter the circle through the East Gate.

  Spirits of Wind,
  the breath of our Mother Earth,
  Isis, Lady of the Bees,
  Bring the Sweetness of Honey to our circle,
  Be Here Now! (All Repeat)
  
  Spirits of Fire,
  Molten Lava within the Center of the Earth,
  Sekhmet, the Fire of Isis,
  Enter our Circle to purigy it,
  but we ask your mercy,

  River Spirits,
  the blood of Mother Earth,
  Hathor, Isis in her youth,
  River Goddess,
  Bring cooling and healing waters to our limbs,

  Earth Spirits,
  Nut, mother of Isis,
  who each night,
  slips across the sky to cast her shadow of sleep upon her children,

• In the Garden of Isis
  Ah, Isis, Lady of Green Things, Lady of Herbs, Lady of Bees.
  
  Your temples are gardens as well as buildings. Here a stone well holds a stand of papyrus, though it grows a thousand miles away from the Nile. And here, at the edge of the desert, stands a long avenue of trees, some precious for the beads of incense they exude, some precious for shade their fruit, the beauty of their flowers and leaves, each carefully planted in a ball of fertile earth set into the dry sand. Palms, sacred to Osiris and Isis, are not far away; they will grow readily in the sacred pools which, though long dry, still hold the remnants of rich mud that once supported lotuses and papyrus when the temple was still frequented.
  
  And planted in containers, her are the richly-scented, night blooming flowers, the blossoms that glow in moonlight. Alongside them grow mysterious medicinal herbs whose secrets You, Isis, alone know to the fullest. And with each drop of life-giving water that flows to the thirsty roots of these many plants, Your power as Lady of Moisture is reaffirmed....[Awake, she is here!]

  Isis, one name for first Mother is also a metaphore for Mother Earth who heals us and needs for us to heal her.

  by singing a song that SisterSpirit has sang since 1985, the year
