Hello! Yes, we are still here. Someone swooped in and grabbed our
original www.vulcanlanguage.com domain due to a clerical error!
We are working on trying to get it back. Until then, we will be located
here at www.vulcanlanguage.org. The joys of the Internet!
This is the Internet home of the Vulcan languages Traditional
Golic Vulcan (spoken by Surak and used for centuries in Literature,
Religion and Ceremonies), Modern Golic Vulcan (its contemporary
counterpart), Lowlands Golic Vulcan (a sister language to Modern),
Insular Golic Vulcan (an extinct sister language to Traditional),
and FthinraKathi (a distantly-related, extinct language).
In addition to language lessons and many dictionaries with specialized
terminology, we have information on noted Vulcans, Vulcan history,
Vulcan physiology, etc. More is coming all the time.
The Vulcan Language Institute® originally came about in 1980 to
explore the languages of Vulcans on their homeworld and colonies.
Originally named The Institute of Vulcan Linguistics®, our work is
different from that of the Zvelebils, whose Vulcan material is also seen
online. Their Vulcan language is known as "Modern Standard Vulcan"
and is covered elsewhere on the Internet.

The Memorial Page was removed from the site because we are now
regularly approaching our maximum monthly traffic limit. It technically had
nothing to do with Vulcans or their languages, so it is gone for now.
After many years of work, we have put our TGV/MGV-German, TGV/MGV-
French, TGV/MGV-Icelandic, TGV/MGV-Dutch and TGV/MGV-Italian dictionaries
online to aid speakers of those languages in translating from TGV and MGV. We
are working on ones for Spanish, Norwegian and Turkish. Unfortunately, limits
with our software currently prevent us from creating web pages with Cyrillic
or Asian characters...
There are tons of things to check out on this site. Enjoy your visit!
